Yesterday, I spotted a portrait on display in the Bothwell Historical Society museum, which is accessible through the visitor centre. It was a black and white image of a beautiful woman in fancy clothing from around the 1900s. It had a handwritten note underneath: “This photo appeared in the Tasmanian Mail on Oct. 2nd 1897.”…
